Very close to Salamanca, Chamberí is a beautiful, modern and equally popular district. It boasts some of the best architecture and culinary scenes in Madrid. The area of Almagro has an impressive nightlife scene. Plaza de Chamberí is a small green space in the centre. Opposite this is Andén 0 (Platform 0) Museum, a ghost metro station that has been unused since 1966. Now open to public viewing, this is a very interesting visit. There are other museums in the area for art and geology. Chamberí is also home to two performing halls: Galileo Galilei and Teatros del Canal, with regular events. The area offers beautiful and lavish apartments with often large dimensions. NH Madrid Chamberí Hotel is also popular with tourists, as it is chepa and located close to the metro.
